Publication pursuant to section 49 (1), sent. 1, no. 2 WpHG

In order to issue new shares to the staff of Deutsche Lufthansa AG and affiliated companies, the Executive Board of Deutsche Lufthansa AG dated 29 August 2023 and 26 September 2023, with the consent of the Supervisory Board dated 22 September 2023 and 28 September 2023, and making partial use of the authorization of the Annual General Meeting dated 9 May 2023 (Authorized Capital B), resolved to increase the Company's share capital from € 3,060,443,248.64 by € 2,899,722.24 to € 3,063,342,970.88 excluding shareholders' subscription rights, by issuing 1.132.704 new no-par value registered shares of limited transferability against a cash contribution, with profit participation from 1 January 2023 on.
