BlackRock Investment Management (UK) Limited, London, U.K., has notified us in the name and on behalf of below mentioned companies pursuant to Section 21 (1) WpHG on 21 August 2015 the following: 

The voting rights of BlackRock, Inc., Wilmington, DE, U.S.A., in Deutsche Lufthansa AG exceeded the threshold of 3% on 19 August 2015 and amounted to 3.14% (14,549,433 voting rights) as per this date. Of these voting rights, 1.65% (7,624,646 voting rights) are to be attributed to it pursuant to section 22 (1) sent. 1 no. 1 WpHG and 1.59% (7,341,008 voting rights) pursuant to section 22 (1) sent. 1 no. 6 in connection with sent. 2 WpHG. Please note that the total amount stated above does not necessarily equal the sum of the detailed attributed holdings. This results from voting rights having multiple attributions within the BlackRock group structure.

The voting rights of BlackRock Holdco 2, Inc., Wilmington, DE, U.S.A. in Deutsche Lufthansa AG exceeded the threshold of 3% on 19 August 2015 and amounted to 3.09% (14,321,660 voting rights) as per this date. Of these voting rights, 1.65% (7,624,646 voting rights) are to be attributed to it pursuant to section 22 (1) sent. 1 no. 1 WpHG and 1.54% (7,113,235 voting rights) pursuant to section 22 (1) sent. 1 no. 6 in connection with sent. 2 WpHG. Please note that the total amount stated above does not necessarily equal the sum of the detailed attributed holdings. This results from voting rights having multiple attributions within the BlackRock group structure.
