The Lufthansa Group is expecting an operating result of EUR 600 to 700m for the financial year. This includes one-off restructuring costs of EUR 200m and project costs of EUR 100m. This is a more precise update of the previous forecast, which predicted profits above last year’s reported operating result (EUR 524m). Revenue is expected to be on par with last year.

In the first three quarters of 2013, the Lufthansa Group generated an operating profit of around EUR 660m, a decline of roughly EUR 250m on the same period last year. This includes one-off restructuring and project costs of around EUR 200m. The same period in the previous year included positive non-recurring effects of EUR 325m. Adjusted for these non-recurring effects, the operating profit for the first three quarters of 2013 increased by some EUR 280m over last year’s.

The interim report for the first three quarters will be published on 31 October 2013 at 7.30 a.m. CET on <link _top internal link in current>www.lufthansagroup.com/investor-relations.
