The 68th Annual General Meeting of Deutsche Lufthansa AG began on time at 10:00 a.m. today. Due to the pandemic, this year's meeting is again being held virtually in order to observe social distancing rules currently in place and to take into account the need to protect shareholders against infection.

Many shareholders have taken the opportunity to submit their questions in advance. In total, 264 questions were submitted by the deadline of midnight on 2 May 2021 and will be answered during today's Annual General Meeting.

In addition, Angela Titzrath, Dr. Michael Kerkloh and Britta Seeger are three candidates standing for election to the company's Supervisory Board. Stephan Sturm will resign from the Supervisory Board at the end of the Annual General Meeting today.

Another item on the agenda is voting on the creation of a new Authorized Capital C in accordance with §7b of the German Economic Stabilization Acceleration Act (WStBG) of up to 5.5 billion euros with a term of five years. The aim is to enable Deutsche Lufthansa AG to make flexible use of financing opportunities to raise equity on the capital market. The aim is to give the company the basic opportunity to increase its capital over the next five years.
